TET full form:
The TET full form is Teacher Eligibility Test. It is a type of test conduct by the government for recruiting the teacher in a government school. It is considered an entrance exam, conducted in different states of India. The central government and state government both conduct the TET exam. For getting eligibility criteria for getting a job as a government teacher, this is a minimum qualification required from classes 1 to 8. It is one of the mandatory tests for getting a teaching job in a government school in India. TET is also known as Central Teacher Eligibility Test
There are two types of paper.
Paper 1 is for classes 1 to 5 for primary teacher training.
Paper 2 is for classes 6 to 8.
These tests are based on the framework of the national government curriculum of teacher education. The candidate must be passed with 60 per cent in test exam for qualifying, this test helps to identify the candidate has skills to teach students and create a positive environment towards the studies. The government of India has started the TET test in 2011 for improving the teaching standard in government schools.
Most of the state governments conduct Teacher eligibility test-own and release TET entrance test notifications state results wise. This TET is performed for selecting the right teacher of the right of children studies for free, and also according to the Compulsory Education Act 2009.
TET is considered a quite popular entrance exam and highly competitive because lakhs of applications are submitted on yearly basis for both state and central TET. Most of the applications are submitted by the female. It is a secure and prestigious job. For qualifying the furthermore rounds the candidate must have a B.ED degree.
Eligibility Criteria:
- If candidate have B.ED degree easy to qualify the rounds or equivalent degree from recognise university.
- Minimum percentage requirement is 55 in master’s degree.
- If the candidate is in final year of B.ED degree then also eligible for applying the Job.
- PHD candidate is eligible for application.
